Choose. Hydrate. Support

Offer your guests more than just water; let them hydrate with purpose. Choose glass bottles over single-use plastic and support access to clean water and skills development in Zambian communities.

Hotels, lodges, and restaurants across the country serve thousands of guests every year, and with that comes countless single-use plastic bottles as waste. But what if you could help provide access to water to a community in need, or support a young person’s ambition to train in water management, with just one glass of water?

At WATER FOR WATER (WfW) Zambia, we believe that access to clean and safe drinking water for everyone is a basic need. Through our GREEN service, we partner with Hotels, Lodges, and Restaurants in Zambia to put sustainability into action. We’re helping them to transition away from single-use plastic by enabling them to serve their guests fresh, filtered drinking water in WfW-branded reusable glass bottles. This initiative not only replaces single-use plastic bottles but also supports local initiatives: a percentage of the earnings from water revenue goes directly toward our WASH (Water, Sanitation and Hygiene) and Skills Development programme for communities across Zambia.

At our partner establishments, guests enjoy chilled drinking water served in elegant WfW glass bottles - with no plastic and no waste, as part of their guest experience. Every time a guest hydrates responsibly, they choose to support and contribute to clean water access and further skills development in underserved communities in Zambia.

To support our partners in delivering this service, we conduct tailored GREEN training sessions across all our partner establishments. These focus on:

  • Sustainable water use,
  • Eco-friendly service deliver, and
  • How to serve high-quality filtered water in a way that contributes to lasting social and environmental change.

We are actively growing our GREEN network, welcoming new partners ready to make a difference. Whether you are a guest enjoying your stay or an establishment looking to take real action for sustainability, this initiative is a perfect way to make every drop count. If you manage or own a hospitality business and are ready to:

  • Reduce plastic waste
  • Deliver a meaningful guest experience

FAQs

How is the water filtered?

  • We install certified water filtration systems at partner establishments to ensure safe, high-quality filtered water

How does the WfW partnership work with new establishments?

  • New partner establishments invest in certified water filtration systems and branded glass bottles to set up the service. WfW helps source and install the system, and provides staff training, ongoing filter maintenance, and long-term guidance to ensure high-quality service and impact.

Is there a cost involved?

  • Yes, a one-time investment is required to set up the water filtration system and supply of glass bottles. As a result, this eliminates the need to purchase PET bottled water and allows direct revenue generation through an in-house sustainable water service, creating potential for long-term cost savings.

How do we become a partner?

  • Reach out to us via email at info@wfw.co.zm, and we will be in touch to arrange a meeting.
